Probably.
I feel like Pokemon is akin to Star Wars. Though not as big, both properties are large enough that anything they make will generate money.
They would have to actively try to fail. So until they let you teach Pikachu to gas the jews, expect Pokemon to continue printing money.

That would save the franchise. A Pokemon game set in WW2 Germany. Rounding up the kikes, their Hypnos and Probopasses into the chamber and let Koffing deal with it. Survive the Russian winter with our Magmarmy or just make it quick with Ice type Pokemon. Heck, just bring in Torkoal for the sun to shine bright.
