I know theres a lot of banter, but you guys don't seriously think that any generation after the first was better than it do you? Tell me, how does it feel newfags - knowing that you will NEVER feel the original connection to gen1 and the late 90's/very early 00's Pokemania. Trading Pokemon cards with your classmates, that one kid who stole someones holographic card, trading with a link cable on your gameboy.

Gen2 is also solid, not quite on the level of Gen1 but it is the generation that stays truest to its original form. Gen 5 is a failed abortion, it should never have been brought into this existence and is a disgrace to the Pokemon name.

Feels great knowing the next game will be set in Kanto, and theres nothing you can do about it but stand back in awe when it is not only the biggest selling game to date but the very best, like no one ever was.
