I think its a good direction.

I'm burnt out on new pokemon, so some new forms is a good way to go. And revisiting an old region set as a sequel will make it new enough to be fine.

Guys, this is really the best way to do it.

HOWEVER I have one grave concern, using two asymmetrical cutemons as the game mascots makes me nervous the games will be baby mode. But it might just be for nostalgia gen 1 recognition.

So for now, I'll stay cautiously optimistic.
