Hoenn was the first gen to try and reinvigorate the series, but was met with backlash just as mush back then. Your gen was a rehash of what Gen III tried to do, and failed miserably at it that the gens after it were made with the mindset of rectifying your failure. Eventually hate for Hoenn subsided since people accepted that the changes it introduced were needed, like the overhaul to EV's and IV's, remakes of Gen I and Gen II were released to pacify the "muh backwards compatibility" fags, and has some of the best designs in the franchise. Gen V added nothing but baggage they must include in any future iteration in the franchise.
And you have the gall to say your gen was the most innovative because it forced you to use a dex full of new Pokemon and that its punished for it. Because of you Game Freak has to think twice about using the Gen III formula again. Go fuck yourself.
