If this Kanto game is based on Yellow then i guess a possibility of a new game in Hoenn based on Emerald is back on the table.

Keep in mind ORAS is the best selling remake

Because it had double the time HGSS had in the market before the next game released and more than double the time of FRLG.
ORAS wasn't particularly successful by its own means as a game.

But yes, they will remake everything again eventually anyway

HGSS had one year before gen V made it "obsolete" to the eyes of the consumer looking for the newest pokémon game. ORAS had 2 years for itself. TCPI's sales department knows this very well when analysing what factors drive their sales numbers

Bullshit. Even now ORAS and XY have great sales despite being "obsolete" as you call it. People buy the games regardless of generations if they're avaible on their console
