Why do we play pokemon to begin with? I mean I like the franchise,but why is that? Why do we let stuff like this drive us mad? Why do we like pokemon?

Because we grew up with it and it became a part of our lives. We're angry because Gamefreak is throwing us out in favor of the people who dropped Pokemon because they didn't think it was cool anymore, it's not hard to figure out.

Unlike most people I don't like Pokemon for nostalgia related reasons, I like it because it is the only monster raising game with good designs (though I don't like the ones popular on /vp/ or the western fanbase in general) and I like the ability to trade up from decade old games.

Digimon's designs are either cosplaying humans or ugly except Gatomon line (+ their variants) and I the only good YW monsters I've seen all look like Jibanyan.

We get mad because we're passionate about it and don't want to see the games slip. We like Pokemon because it's a fun experience. The game play is just enjoyable and good to zone out to.
