The Switch gen will be here in a matter of months but how long will it last ? How many core games will there be ?
Gen 7 lasted 2 years and with 2 pair of games only, no remaster, only port on the 3DS VC of the 2 first gens.
And the ultimate question for Sinnohfoetuses, when will we see again the mountains of Sinnoh ?

Gen 4 has no reason to be remade, it's still playable on the 3DS. Once the 3DS is obsolete GF might remake it.

Man, 3DS is already obsolete hardware wise. Nintendo will still sell those up until the Switch get a price drop or a mini version in less than 2 years.
It will be sooner than the mid gen of the pokemon switch era and they just HAVE to make something for the 10-11years of Platinium and correct the pokemon mythology with Arceus and co.

Not sure but it has to be next year or two. Already blew it with the anniversary of DP sorta understandably.

And heres my thing why when 4th gen remakes seems like a sure win win for most fans is that not a more credible conclusion? Why not reboot the series with a 1st gen maybe 2nd gen throwback game in 2021 with the 25th anniversary of the series? Yeah PoGO is still popular but nintendo wouldnt have them sink their ship beyond some intergretion know what I mean home dog chizzles?

Well GO will introduce Gen 4 mon this year if they keep the calendar pattern and it will last nearly a year for them to release the last mythicals of this 4th gen before beginning the introduction of gen 5 mon.
So I think before the 5th gen pokémon appear in GO a DP remaster reboot will pop up, so in nearly 2 years from now.
