The key differences are some added side content, revised battles for singleplayer, and some small extra areas.
Photo Club, the Battle Agency, and the RR episode in the postgame are the most prominent elements. The rebalanced/replaced totems are much better than the SM ones, but if you're hoping for a new plot/continuation, it doesn't do much until the end, and replaces several scenes.
