I know vp has always been a cancerous and awful place, but it seems it is at its worst now more than ever after the leaked games were pretty much confirmed to be real. At this point I honestly can't tell if there is just no pleasing you fucks anymore or if gamefreak really has hit an all time low. The fan base is without a doubt in the worst spot I have ever seen it in right now. What happened to this franchise and more importantly what happened to its fan base? It's reaching Sonic The Hedgehog fan base levels of bad (hell its probably already reached it by this point I don't fuckin know anymore). I could easily sit here and blame genwunners (especially considering the fact I can't fucking stand them) or Newgenners (as since gen 6 newgenners have had more influence on the gameplay (as the games became easier) while genwunners had more influence on certain mechanics and nostalgic callbacks (a la alolan forms) ) but I won't because everyone is at war on this board right now and I refuse to start another gen war thread. Plus I don't really know who's to blame for all of this so I am not going to be directly pointing fingers at one part of the fan base, or the fan base as a whole, or gamefreak themselves. Just... what the fuck happened to this fan base and franchise guys...? Are we past the point of no return...? Is gamefreak going to pull the plug soon, wether it's by influence of the fan base or a decision made by themselves?... I know one could easily say "Pokemon is fucking dead" but is it really DEAD now?... Is it over...? Is Pokémon TRULY dead?...
