honestly since Hoenn the only game I came close to hold dear to my heart was Pokémon X/Y. I felt like a kid playing Pokémon Red with my mom again.

I had my beloved Charizard and I saw him grow beyond what I could ever have imagined.

Megas were an absolute blast, and the combat graphics were the absolute best of the series so far, way better than holdmy5yearoldhand Alola.

I literally can't remember a single name of a Pokémon past Hoenn, and I've beat them all. But I really liked X/Y

You think they're gone? Nah, they will bring back both Megas and Z moves.

They already have walking animations from a cut feature for sun and moon, and the megas also have walking animations.

It seems people hate them now, but people were crazy about them during X/Y and ORAS. There was definitely negative feedback at first from some people, but I remember people being excited to see which Pokemon would get a mega next.
