There's a reason I own 10 copies of X and Y alone and my main copy of X alone has over five thousand hours on it and it wasn't because I disliked them. Quite the opposite I thought they were a sign of things to come and were defending them.
To be fair I still defend them with most of the same logic because I was doing so regardless of my opinions of them but if anything they owe me an apology because they made me think maybe Game Freak wasn't 99.9999% incompetent for a second there after early Gen 5.
