>>35580835This is all truly fascinating, but the overwhelming majority of those things weren't noticed IN ANY WAY at the time these games were current, and are only known today because of obsessive fans with more time than the people who EVER programmed these games had sifting through every line of code with a fine tooth comb and replaying it on a highly technical level that only an extremely hardcore player ever would, and even so, to play at that level would make you an ENTHUSIAST of these games to begin with.
I mean, this is a handy and entertaining list, but the way its presented is disingenuous at best in regards to seemingly attempting to "debunk" these games, as in going back to them to begin with is to knowingly go back to a 22 year old game made by a fairly small team with a limited time and money budget designed for hardware that was ALREADY underpowered and virtually obsolete back in 1989 when the Game Boy first launched.
