This makes me think Lets Go dex will be locked only to 151 original ones

Which in a way makes sense because Eevee could evolve from happiness just by walking around a lot so you could get Espeon or Umbreon even before Viridian City

How do you feel about the possibility of 151 only? Untill the league that is.

I would hate it as much as I did the last two times we were stuck with only Kantonian Pokémon until the League. We need something new. BW actually had good designs - enough that I'm perfectly happy picking a new team of six Pokémon I've never used every time I replay BW - and even THEY added another 150ish non-Unova Pokémon to B2W2 because they didn't want to force something like that people a second time in Unova. We DEFINITELY don't need it forced on us a THIRD time in the already-ever-boring Kanto.

The salt will be real, as you can get around other crossgen evos by putting items in the postgame, but you can't get around Lickilicky and Tangrowth without retconning their movesets or something, Umbreon and Espeon without removing in-game clock and Crobat and Blissey are beyond any normal retcon other than the cockblock they did in FireRed and LeafGreen.

joking aside, if they actually did that I probably wouldn't get it (at least not for a long time) given only one Pokemon on my team is from Kanto.

Uhhh anon... lol. Gen 5 doesn't exactly have the best track record for pokemon designs. In fact there are only like 5 evolution lines in 5 I would even consider good/decent.

No, he's talking about the plethora of good designs from Gen V instead of the few bad ones.

Gen V had more pokemon than any other gen, including the first, it's gonna have some bad ones.

I'm not really in the position to talk as nothing from the rumored leak makes me want to buy them so it's not really my business, but I hate how you couldn't get other gen Pokémon in FRLG and only a few gen IV Pokémon in HGSS until postgame without trading. Just make it possible to catch every gen I-related Pokémon before postgame.

What GF fails to realize is that a lot of Genwunners hopped ship in the middle of Gen2. Meaning they are essentially in the same gen to most genwunners. We need them to like, and recognize MORE Pokemon species, not less. Cover more ground, offer more options. Not less. If we regurgitate the same handful of fan favorites they stop being favorites. There is a limit and GF never seems to find that balance for shillmons

if this game locked to us Kanto only pokemon would be the 3rd time it happened.

1st time: R/B/Y - Understandable, excusable since ya know this was the first time they did it.
2nd time: Fr/Lg - Understandable, kinda sucks to have to get the rest in post game
3rd time - Switch versions - Bullshit, Kanto pokemon aren't good enough to carry a 3rd game all on their own.

This shit right here is so damn good. I've done two BW playthroughs and one BW2 playthrough so far using exlusively Gen 5 Pokémon, and I still haven't even covered half of the ones that I like yet.
Meanwhile I'd used all of the Gen 6/Gen 7 Pokémon I liked after one playthrough of XY/SM.
