The owl isn't evolving. It's the cutemon.

Lycanroc is the ace.

Torracat will be the tank once it evolves again.

Poipole will evolve and leave after Necrozma is dealt with.

only one in denial is you. no evidence of the bird being anything but comic relief since Ash caught more Pokémon. He's totally become Pidgeotto Mk. II since Duskdoggo showed up and Litten evolved into Torracat and that's without even getting started on Poipole (who Ash has just twigged can maybe cut the mustard in battles going forward, by saving the bird's worthless arse). All in all, don't think borb will evolve, no niche or place for him to take on Ash's team and with Ash still to make 1 more capture, even less of a reason to need it to evolve either.

If they were going to evolve Rowlet, they would have done it by now

Rowlet was caught before Rockruff or Litten and has battled more than them, yet they both evolved before him

Hardly, TGC mechanics don't apply to the anime world and Ash always complete a region with at least one part-Flying type. Regional birb's already been shown off, 0.01% chance of him catching another flying type 'round Alola way at this stage and the hard'n'fast rule of Ash having a Flyer by the end means it'll only ever end up as a dartrix.
Owlfags lose again.
Imagine being a Flying type, that can't learn Fly though

Considering a legendary and the other two Lycanroc forms were needed for the evolution to happen, that's exclusive to Ash, and that it was the Pokemon used to hype up the new games, I'd say it was the most hyped moment.

Ilima, yes. He took a long time to appear despite most of the series taking place on Memeleme. Though they explained with him having already graduated and gone to Kalos to study abroad (which was also brought up in the games), only just now coming back to Alola. Plus he served the purpose of shilling Eevee and showing off Extreme Evoboost.
