>>35596934I agree that traditional hand drawn animation certainly makes you appreciate the effort put into making the cartoon more, even though cgi was still used back then to animate some things (like the ballroom in disney's beauty and the beast). But in terms of humour we still have some great shows like the amazing world of gumball, regular show, gravity falls, and the early 2000's cartoons like grim adventures of billy and mandy, codename kids next door. and cartoon's with good plot like samurai jack and the original teen titans. It really comes down to how you are really, I've certainly laughed more at gumball than I have in all the years of watching spongebob and ed edd n eddy.
We can go all day cherry picking good shows from the 90's and onwards, but I mean other than animation maybe, 90's cartoons are pretty much of the same caliber really.
