It always looked real. Water looks just like gen 7 water, islands are square like something that GF WOULD do (see ORAS)and the Eevee was weird few weeks ago but makes perfect sense now

Gen 8 will be in 2019. Let's go Pee is gen 7 and in 3ds. It was needed to make all regions playable on the 3ds. They chose to make yellow remakes instead of FRLG reremakes to spice things up.

This. Game freaks target demographic is jap children who couldn’t handle the Sinnoh regions layout. That’s why they made every region after it as linear as possible. gamefreak are shit developers who cant optimize space and make a game run smoothly for the life of them but if youre gonna shit on them at least pick games that look better than SM AND have just as much if not more going on at one time. yokai watch is the only good example but even then theres not as much rendering in the battles. but level 5 are actually good developers
