If you're going to have games called North and South it has to be a New Zealand region. The Pokémon League in in Wellington, with players of North starting ar Cape Rianga and working their way south through the North Island gyms, with the South Island and its gyms serving as the postgame. Meanwhile Pokémon South starts in Bluff, with players working their was north through the South Island gyms with the North Island and its gyms serving as the postgame.
