NYC fag here. The only redeeming things about the outer boroughs are the occasional good high school (private or public) and shit like popeye's which you only find in the ass end of manhattan. Otherwise it's drive through territory. All the cultural hodgepodge of Unova reminds me disturbingly of Queens. Not the greatest thing, despite it potentially having a deep positive impact on worldbuilding and lore. (I'm entirely of Gook descent, and i still think neighborhoods like Flushing and towns like Ridgefield constitute shitholes you pop into for cheap ethnic food and pop out before you smell like [INSERT 3rd WORLD OR STEREOTYPICAL YELLOW PERSON SMELL].)
