If this was huge Kanto reboot with several new mons the campaign would be announced much earlier. Same if it was supposed to be a sort of "gen 8 wbut with Kanto"

Im more and more convinced that it is just Gen 7 Yellow remakes with some extra tweaks and features thats why they're waiting with the announcement so late just like it was with USUM because they didnt have much new content to show
