That's generic as fuck of a similarity.

What's more interesting, and what I've never seen listed ANYWHERE is how the Pichu and Pikachu short played before the third Pokemon movie lifts some phrases from George Girshwin's "Rhapsody in Blue".

Its like they wanted to use the piece but didn't want to license it, so they just lifted a few bars so they wouldnt get sued.

I wonder who the fuck aside from me would BOTH watch the short before the third Pokemon movie, AND know Rhapsody in Blue well enough to notice that.

A few bars from the main motif of Rhapsody in Blue are snuck into the Pikachu and Pichu short, I don't really have source files of the film or the musical piece to edit together any sort of comparison.
