Pokemon needs a Monster Hunter style bottom screen with customizable panels. One big panel could just show your party status, one medium panel could let you scroll through a medicine bag, one large panel shows a map, small panel shows daycare maybe.
BTW, auto running shoes should just be an option in the options menu, and you can hold B to walk. You don't need a giant ass button hogging up space just for that.
