Don't know how the Chinese hacker got into their cloud storage but it was hard as shit getting the alpha to even run since the dev environment was on pc. It's some sort of crazy c# jap library, probably in-house, fortunately there are keyboard mapping available which works on japanese language keyboard.
Anyway a lot of the textures are fucked and there are placeholder sounds everywhere. The titlescreen is just three boxes which take you either to a battle with Pikachu against a random pokemon, so far Charmander, Lapras and Mewtwo are the only ones Ive seen. The other takes you to a big grass field with a pokemon center you can't enter and a cave that crashes the game when you enter it. There are no menus in the overworld but you can see untextured pokemon roaming, like milktank and a few models straight from sun/moon.
The battle system is super interesting though. You still only have 4 moves, on Pikachu there is headbut, thunderbolt, tail whip and charm, and but there is an AtB / Stamina bar shit, and you can always choose to dodge/defend/wait. Your pokemon also move around each other during waiting for stamina bar to fill up. Looks fucked with Lapras swimming on grass, but this game is a trainwreck right now. No announcement in many months maybe.
