The quality of toys is irrelevant to the designs. As I mentioned earlier, if a well-made figure of Krabby existed, we would be back to the same argument of looking at the two depictions in the official art styles.
Yes Pokemon is a "cartoon," but to say that Pokemon is just a children's franchise meant to sell products shows that you don't even care about the subject of aesthetics to begin with.
I don't like Crabrawler because he looks like garbage modern calarts cartoons. I like Krabby because he looks like interesting Akira Toriyama-esque cartoons.
