Recently found out they're super pushing Lycanroc in the anime. What are the odds that he gets the Ash-Greninja treatment, we get a good Lycanroc variant by next year?

It's already a form that's never been seen in Alola before, that's enough.
The only reason Greninja got a form was because they weren't going to give Ash an old Pokemon just to use for a Mega, especially when he already has Pokemon that can Mega evolve back at the lab.
Plus they needed something "Special" to put in the Sun/Moon demo to get people to buy the game.

The anime is pushing it more than they ever pushed ash-Greninja. I don't think it's gonna get yet another special form though.

He's gotten the Ash-Fusion treatment, he was revived as a rockruff by Lele who'd robbed energy off Olivia and Gladion's lycanroc and from Ash himself, leading to the snowflake Duskroc form, Ash is the only one with it, it evolved after a green flash - the fact people STILL think some other arsepull in the vein of frogboy speaks volumes.
