It is kind of funny that everyone rushed to disprove this leak after the leaker said that we would only be getting the original 151. As soon as it becomes clear that we're facing the worst possible scenario, everyone puts on their critical thinking caps and decides that it was obviously fake the whole time.

Kanto and the OG 151 will ALWAYS be the best Region/Story/Aesthetic and pokemon bunch.

The more we go back to the roots and explore it while adding a fresh new twist on it, the BETTER this franchise will be.

It's likely that there would be new Pokemon after the Hall of Fame, with something like the DexNav, just like ORAS. Maybe even Kantonian forms. It's unlikely that the leaker knows everything about the games. But even this Unova-style outcome would be bashed heavily by the community (except for genwunners and GO casuals, the people who actually buy the games).

Kanto is based on roughly the area surrounding Tokyo, right? I'd imagine it's changed a lot since 1996. Since 2004, even. As long as the map layout is different enough... bring it on. Then they can release some Johto DLC and then the D/P remakes down the line. That leaves a pretty long gap for the eventual buildup to another country being featured as a region and has Pokemon more Japanese-centric for a period of time. Bring on the Nipponese aesthetic in high-def graphics, please. Obviously this is not related but it'd be nice to have Pokemon games taking place in Japan that're current around the same time that the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo take place. Maybe there could be some kind of reference?

Yellow is my first game but i feel gen 1 has the most problems mostly due to coding issues and oversights which have since been fixed and would be non-issues with proper remakes
