What are some inconsistencies in USUM? Shit that just doesn’t make sense like how the Ultra Recon Squad had Lunala the whole fucking time

Lusamine "needed" Nihilego when it appeared at Aether but it never came up again. She still had frozen Pokemon despite not having gone completely mad from Nihilego. It was also the reason she dressed Lillie the way she did. It was almost cringey watching them flip flop between SM and USUM's stories, clumsily adding new lines

whereas in the original game Lillie gave her mother a "YOU ARE A TERRIBLE MOTHER" speech even though she was literally being mind controlled by a jellyfish from space

No she wasn't. She had never personally seen a Nihilego until you fight it in Aether Paradise.

that's never explicitly stated. lillie in the first city says her mother dresses her so we are left to assume she is already obsessed with nihilego at least two months before the character comes to alola

Her frozen Pokemon were supposedly one of her main motivations for the whole savior complex she had to fight Necrozma.
Also, the Nihilego in SM did not make her go mad. It was losing Mohn in the wormholes, and that led to that. If you actuallly pay attention during SM's plot, there's nothing that actually states she's been stung by a Nihilego until she actually catches one. For some reason people think Lusamine had been stung prior and developed her obsession through alien neurotoxin, when this flat out did not happen.

Might have been in SM too, but E4's Kahili says something to the effect of
"When I heard Alola was starting its own league, I had to come back"
then after you defeat her she says something like
"Kukui kept annoying me to join the e4 so I gave in and did it"

You're failing to see the implications of her motivation to be in the E4.

Before battle she implies that because the E4 was being built she came back to Alola and joined willingly.

After battle she admits to Kukui harassing her to join the E4.

So did she join willingly or not?
It really doesn't matter either way. I'm not going to dissect these two lines any further.

It makes no sense that she would dress Lillie after Nihilego if she had never seen one before. Mohn disappearing plays a very small role in SM. He disappears, Nihilego infects Lusamine, and the toxins cause her to go batshit obsessed with Nihilego. How or when she’s infected is unknown, but it’s heavily implied to be around the time Gladion left. Her main motivation in USUM, though, is pretty much exclusively based on Mohn’s disappearance. If she hadn’t been infected before the events of SM, then the whole story is retarded

Bingo.
The script is available online anon, there's no mention of her actually getting stung beforehand. Everything about her "being infected" by Nihilego beforehand is based on assumptions due to her craziness, not events that actually occurred. In SM, she became obsessed with UBs because of her research to find him. In USUM, she had an outlet that provided her with info (the URS), so her development took a different turn.

She heard Alola was getting a league, so she came back just to see in person what it looked like, maybe even hoping to challenge the league atsome point. A league is implied to be an important thing, specially when Alola kept clinging to tradition.

Again, she only wanted to see the league, or see if this meant other changes were happening to Alola, or maybe challenge the league once it was done. Then Kukui pressured her to join as an E4 member.

Those are her old pokemon who died and she froze them so they would look beautiful forever. They still work in USUM.

In SM she also leaves to Kanto to start her journey, she states it tso and says the player motivated her (if you are a boy she says she hopes she could travel with you, if you are a girl she says she wants to learn everything you know)
