Something that always bothered me is how shitty Pokemon's dragons always are, every other series' Dragons at LEAST look dragonic, even Paildramon, but then you have shit like Alolan Exeggutor, Naganadel and Turtonator that is literally just "If it has sharp parts, it's a dragon!"

Not in appearence but how fucking retarded that a Legendary Pokemon evolves 2 times, fuses with another legendary, and evolves again is pretty much Digimon. I'd say the closest they get is to the Appmon Revivemon, just for Shiny Black Dragon purposes, which almost every series has now.

I never said they did, hell, Dorugamon, the Digimon I posted, is arguably more beastlike, you also have Serpentine Dragons and so on, But they all resemble Dragons, Pokemon only slaps the Dragon Typing to anything that has reptilian features, the same reason the Pokemon I listed are Dragons can be applied to other Pokemon like Nidoking and Rhydon for those same reasons, they're just vaguely reptilian.

I thought it was obvious. They've been doing it for years, just filling the same template. It's obvious with each new game giving you "New bug and new bird" in the first couple routes. Black and White just dragged your face into it. I mean if Woobat didn't scream Zubat I don't know what to tell you.

To name a few. Heck, they even expanded on stuff. Instead of Magnemite to Magneton they got Vanillite, made it turn into half of Vanilluxe and then gave you Vanilluxe. Then they gave you the Klink family line to really fucking pad out the list.

You do know that Pokemon can be like real life animals in that there can be several kinds of each, right? For example, take real life butterflies and moths (lepidopterans); there are thousands of species of different shapes, sizes, and colors to base unique Pokemon on.
