The genwunner vs nugenner war has nothing to do with the Let's Go trash, nor has it had anything to do with any of the gen 1 pandering of the 3ds games.
All this is because of the casual fans who don't care about Pokemon anymore. Most of these people treat Pokemon as older men would treat action figures of children's tv: Cool as a kid, wouldn't get into it now.
GO was a success not just because of gen 1 pandering, but because of the fact that the game was FREE. And the normies but that trash up.
These stupid casuals are ruining the franchise for the rest of us, genwunners or not. The gen 1 pandering newgenners hate? That's the casuals' fault. The redesigns of old Pokemon and simplification of old gen's mechanics? That's the casuals' fault.
Pokemon isn't some niche franchise like F-Zero that needs an enormous non-gamer or casual following to make bank. Zelda has a much smaller dedicated following but those games seem to please their fans, so why can't GF do the same?
