Playing Pokemon HeartGold. Team consists of Typhlosion, Togekiss, Jolteon, Gyarados, Hitmonlee, and Dragonite. They're all under lv 60.

How do I beat Red?

Keep swapping between your jolteon and the rest of your team until pikachu runs out of pp for electric moves. Then set up 6 dragon dances on your gyarados and rip his team a new asshole

Red doesn't really cover his Poke's weaknesses, he just has lots of strong moves. Just match types.
Can Dragonite handle Pikachu? Does he have EQ? He won't be much use against the the rest of the team, so it's fine to spend him on one Poke.

I beat the second round of the eliter four at level 60, so yeah try and do that. Be sure to get leppa berries if possible and revives and lots of full restores or hyper pots.

Rematch the gym leaders, elite 4 and Red if you feel way under leveled and want to use that team. That's one of the ways you are supposed to play this game anyway.

The cpu is bullshit and can crit you when you use 6 because hax, so yeah you gonna have to get rekt probably twice, but yeah can confirm. I remember doing it once with a luggage (Lugia) level 50 or so. Just Lugia got rekt more times, but still was able to sweep eventually.

I stalled him by KO'ing his Lapras and having his other five Pokemon get KO'd by the hail. Of course I had a shitload of healing items and I think Sunflora hated me after that battle, but I just wanted to get it over with.
