how many of you have completed a pokedex? I just did this on yellow version, no glitches or cheats or romhacks. I feel like a childhood dream can be put to rest now

I did with yellow, but with glitches and cheats.
I caught every mon I could legally, injected all the traded ones, made myself 99 rarecandies and edited all mons so they only need 1 level gor evolution.

Sorry I really really didn‘t wanted to fucking grind all those mons, which would have taken like several several days. I mean I play crystal right now and the training of pokemon is really really tiresome.

Did it in gen 6. It feels a lot less special when it was basically just me breeding Rotoms and putting them up for whatever pokemon i wanted.

I completed the dex in RBY and GSC as a kid

It then obviously became more difficult in gen 3 with national dex and the difficulty of older mons and I lost interest

I recently completed the Alola dex in SM and I’m now currently working on my bank living dex. Currently I have a full living:

Kanto Dex with all mons having GBC marking
Johto Dex with all mons having GBC marking
Hoenn Dex with pentagon
Alola Dex with clover

I’m going through each game in order to complete as much of the Dex with originally transferred region now because autism. Once I finish I’ll probably replace the Hoenn living Dex with transfers from RSE rather than ORAS.

Luckily I have most mythicals and a few spares to trade for those I don’t have, it’s just finding the time and energy to play through DPP, BW then XY to get the transfer route up.

also I have my own place, and a job, in fact most of the grinding it took I did during downtime at my job, so I was getting paid and in the end I have a fully legit pokedex.

honestly for mythicals just shark or replay them. The stat spreads and IDs are all online so that you can basically get exact copies of the distributions so it's pretty fair
