Even since gen 1 I seemed to like pokemon for what it could have been.

Instead of true warriors/monsters they were just stupid things who say their names

Ultimately small and boring despite the abilities of the creatures.
Has a horrible set up

This world seems a tad too safe.
Almost every other series seemed to have an innate sense of danger that this one lacked.....

Thinking back, the stories and scenerios we would come up with in the playground that were way cooler than what was shown to us in game or on the show. Every other series went the extra mile, but pokemon did not. Was anyone else disappointed?
