>What is the AltWFC?
AltWFC is an alternate Wi-Fi server for the Nintendo DS; it allows you to play online on any Gen 4/Gen 5 Pokemon games (DPPt, HGSS, BW, BW2) and
do Wi-Fi battles, GTS trades and the Wi-Fi Battle Tower for that sweet world ability ribbon.
For games like Platinum and Heartgold/Soulsilver, the Wi-Fi Plaza is also now supported as well; for HGSS, obtaining foreign Pokemon over the GTS
will also unlock a special Pokewalker course (Beyond the Sea).
>How do I connect to AltWFC?

This gives you many methods of connecting to the server.
(tl;dr you can use an action replay code generated using a .nds rom of your game,
use the Nitrohax homebrew app on 3DS CFW or patch an .nds rom
for use on a Wi-Fi supporting emulator (i.e. DeSmuME) or a flashcart.

It's important to note that you MUST use an open connection (WEP) and NOT WPA (which is encrypted). On Wi-Fi builds of
DeSmuME, you will need an ethernet connection.

(If the AltWFC DNS 104.131.93.87 gives you an error code like 52200, use the Wimmfi DNS instead - 46.4.79.141)

To clarify, you either need (1) a 3DS running custom firmware that can install Nitrohax or(2) an Action Replay DS/DSi for use on pre-3DS models
(Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL). If your Action Replay DSi crashes on boot,
