Hi,

I‘m currently working on the German Translation of Pokémon Let‘s Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee.

Here‘s some information I was able to gain from the script we‘re translating at the moment:

- Lillie, Red and Blue “return from Alola“

- Game takes place in Kanto

- In a dialogue with an old man you get to know that Kanto was different 20 years ago but was split because of a tragedy which is associated with a new Pokémon

-Gyms still exist but some of them have new gym leaders (probably because of some gym leaders‘ age)

-There are new Pokémon names but I cannot confirm if these are evolutions of known Pokémon or completely new Pokémon

-A location where you can find Pokémon is “Pokémon Go“ which means that you‘ll be able to transfer your Pokémon from your phone

-“Your first Pokémon partner“ isn‘t Pikachu/Eevee, it‘s “Charmander the fire type Pokémon“ , “Squirtle the water type Pokémon“ or “Bulbasaur the grass type Pokémon“, a stranger will ask you to “take care of my beloved Pikachu/Eevee“ because he works alot and hasn’t enough time to take care of the Pikachu/Eevee properly

- No new types, Z moves or mega evolutions have been added

-The phrase “Oh no! The wild [PKMN] has dodged the [KIND OF BALL]!“ can appear when you throw a pokéball

I cannot confirm any release date or Pokémon Direct date since I‘m on the translation team but we started translating the game in February. A 2018 release still might be possible since we‘ve nearly finished the translation.
