I know the running animations for all pokemon were leaked, but do we know the size? One thing that doesn't translate well into polygon is pokemon size scaling, and it would really be distracting to me to have a wailord the size of any other pokemon just so it doesn't block the camera and so it fits everywhere

No one said any of this. In fact it was the opposite because the only remake prior was FRLG which added Sevii. Everyone expected something similar to that.

Don't worry baby, I'm sure they'll make a return to the Switch games - I mean, it's not as if the Switch will shit itself if it tries to display it like the 3DS would have, but there you go off half-cocked again on your own narrative.

That's not really lazy, that's just making sure stuff from past games is included.

It's not like ORAS where there's no content and the Maison is pasted in. The BF was pasted into a game filled with content to make it even better.

I was worried I'd miss Gen 3 contests but they sucked a fat dick in comparison and I never touched them in Gen 6

it's bizarre how people like Pokestar when we had the pokeathlon, it's literally a mini-"game" that consists entirely of scripted sequences

I really miss when GF put an honest effort into their games. Pokemon on the 3DS has been a huge disappointment, hopefully the Switch games will be better. I don't know why they're so lazy now.

My expectations were to solve the original's problems of pokemon variety by taking advantage of all the new pokemon added to the series since, AND YET THEY STILL DID SHIT LIKE FILL THE GHOST GYM WITH NOT A SINGLE POKEMON BUT GHASTLY AND ITS EVOLUTIONS.

Perhaps you are right. Morimoto did say in the same interview that he got all the features he wanted into the game and was happy about it.
I think they generally just had more time to work on the games compared to ORAS, too.
I swear there was some other interview which stated ORAS took about a year to make. I haven't been able to find it since, though.

I remember that. ORAS was approved and conceptualizing began in late 2012, but real game development didn't begin until late 2013.

And it's not like they didn't do other content to fill the unused content slot.

It's not an argument for the 3DS at all, but space was an issue back then so they couldn't do everything. They had to pick and choose.

You could use somewhere close to Power Plant to evolve Magnezone and Probopass. Unknown Dungeon and Dark Cave could fill the role too.

Viridian forest or Ilex Forest to ther Leafeon
Sefoam Islands or Ice Cave to get Glaceon.

I still think HGSS has the best visuals of the franchise.
Gen 5 had some bad 3D in the overworld and the battle spirtes were jagged and pixelated as fuck.

Gen 6 and 7 are generic washed out 3D with no personality.
