The point is the word itself has another meaning when said aloud in Japanese. In Ampharos's case, its electric current read as electric dragon (it was initially planned to have that typing), and in Nosepass's case it's nose/north + compass.
They do this shit all the time, like with Curse and with Weavile's name.
