I must confess it: in this last decade Game Freak made TOO much fucking references to Kanto and generation 1. Why? Here's why:
>Unova: compared to Kanto due to having an all-new bunch of mons, and a new region with no connections to previous games.
>Kalos: Santalune forest is copypasted Viridian forest, Kanto starters and Kanto Mega Evolutions
>Alola: definitively the worst, Kanto references EVERYWHERE! Red and Blue, Team Rainbow Rocket, Alola forms (and I'm still salty USUM didn't get new Alolan forms at all, non-Kanto 'mons or not)... everywhere!
The fact the next games are going to be based on Kanto is not helping, either. I know it's where everything started and nostalgia, but this is getting ridiculous. Enough is enough! Game Freak are the true GENWUNNERS!
