Pokémon designs are not designed just for fight. They are animal-like species which can be used in more roles than "it just fights".

That's why Pokémon like Kricketune exists and most of CAP designs will never be real.

CAP designs are fun but when the contestants create mons solely to counter whatever meta was popular at the time they end up having this cynical feel to them. Could just be my autism acting up.

They are based on fight styles, yes. And, because of this, they are uncommon to see in the games because they have bland roles. Instead, Garbodor and other unpopular Pokémon appears in all games since its debut and in some spin-offs like Detective Pikachu while Hitmons remain as filler Pokémon in the National Dex.

I guess you would run Trace to switch in on opposing weather abilities like Swift Swim and push out Leaf Storms or whatever off of that 124 base special attack. Jumbao has pretty respectable bulk, so I could see him taking at least one hit on the switch so long as it isn't a Poison type move.

Nevermind, I guess it's meant to be a baobab tree considering the thick trunk and Drought.

Is has Drought to use Solar Beam and Flame Burst (usually paired with Heatran to cover weaknesses), Trace to copy abilities like Swift Swim and Sand Rush?(and other useful abilities) and has Overcoat for Sand so it can abuse Shore Up better.
It feels more like anti-weather than weather abuser desu since it heavily checks Swampert and Sandmons with Trace/Drought and is a good check to Heatran, Zygarde, and Greninja.
