However, it is a fact that a Gardevoir can fully embrace anyone, as long as they have a strong mutual bond. It is a well-known fact, that Gardevoir with strong bond with their trainer are able to fully embrace them without any harm from the shard, as the shard simply phases through the trainer, allowing them to fully feel each other's body.
The bond can be either spiritaul or intimate (or both), as it's a common thing for Gardevoir to develop feelings for their trainers.
The same applies for the Gallade - the Gardevoir's male counterpart.
