>>35675435bitch does TPCi know how well the Hawaiian state govt clamps down on the ecological integrity of the Islands? Ultra Beasts don't mean shit to the state of Hawaii
I wonder, do they know:
-that to this day, no known self-sustaining populations of poisonous snakes exist on the Islands?
-how hard it is to bring plants and animals into the state, or to export even native and indigenous Hawaiian species?
-how pets go under mandatory quarantine in specialized Honolulu facilities, or thorough veterinary inspection at the minimum upon leaving an aircraft or boat?
-agricultural inspections happen more often than tsa security checks in Hawaiian airports
-mass cullings of unwisely imported fish species even when not strictly necessary (see the bluestripe grouper imported from the Marquesas, who may or may not be edging out native, rarer, tastier goatfish)
-anal monitorings of the indo pacific sergeant damselfish that have been popping up as far south as Maui regardless of how seamlessly they've integrated themselves with native damselfish populations (and may have actually boosted the viability of native butterflyfish and other species who depend on damselfish eggs for protein)
-fines out the wazoo for anyone who touches a sea turtle, whale, or seal without clear proof of an accident or properly submitted paperwork? (some dumbass actually got fined more than necessary for getting three of his fingers bitten off by a turtle on the beach GF used for Hano Resort then lying to authorities saying it was a shark. Ironically the beaches directly to the north and south have seen attacks in recent years, but never off Wailea proper, despite all the Turtles getting cleaned there)
-There are signs in Kahului airport with pictures of children in traditional Hawaiian garb that actually try to guilt trip you into never bringing perishable food items in or out of the islands.
I could go on, but I don't want to spit more autism.
