>Backstory
Was originally a Gym Leader! He was a child prodigy, and became Leader at age 15. However, he never was able to use his own Pokemon, and quickly disliked the job, but never said anything. Fast-forward years later, he finally can't take it and resigns, wanting something fresh and new. He leaves his home with a lone Nidoran with his hidden ability and starts his Pokemon journey.
>Personality
Strangely friendly and calm, despite his looks and type specialty. Tends to not talk much unless you get to know him. Once you do, he never fucking shuts up. He has a rather dry sense of humor, with the occasional snarky remark. Genuinely loves his Pokemon, especially his Nidoking.
>Partner
A Nidoking.
He has a serious "Papa Bear" nature going on. Similarly to his trainer: He's quite gentle despite his looks. However, you fuck with anyone he considers a friend, and suddenly you have a very angry Kaiju standing in front of you.

Dragalge (Water Transport, kickass dragon)
Crobat (Air Transport, Brobat)
Scolipede (Transport for really long trips. Fast as fuck)

>What he does during the story
Intends to get stronger than the player, despite his type specialty crippling him pretty hard. Battles rather frequently, and takes his losses quite well. Assists the player multiple times during the story as well, especially in battles vs. the evil team. He's sort of a cheerleader for the player, and often gives a present or two for beating him. After the events of the game, he decides to head back home, staying there a while and can be rematched.
