>What is the AltWFC?
AltWFC is an alternate Wi-Fi server for the Nintendo DS; it allows you to play online on any Gen 4/Gen 5 Pokemon games, their spinoffs and much more.
You can do Wi-Fi battles, GTS trades and even go in the Wi-Fi Battle Tower for that sweet world ability ribbon.
For games like Platinum and Heartgold/Soulsilver, the Wi-Fi Plaza is also supported; for HGSS, obtaining foreign Pokemon over the GTS
will also unlock a special Pokewalker course (Beyond the Sea).
>How do I connect to AltWFC?
Firstly, you need either a 3DS running homebrew, a .rom of your game for use on an emulator/flashcart or a DS/DSi that can use Action Replay. Next, follow this guide: https://github.com/polaris-/dwc_network_server_emulator/wiki
This gives you many methods of connecting to the server.

It's important to note that you MUST use an open connection (WEP) and NOT WPA (which is encrypted). On Wi-Fi builds of
DeSmuME, you will need an ethernet connection.

(If the AltWFC DNS 104.131.93.87 gives you an error code like 52200, use the Wimmfi DNS instead - 46.4.79.141)
