Fuck no. Kanto has the worst Pokédex in the series. Almost half of the dex is poison type shitmon and there are shitty normal/flying brown blobs on every route.

Honestly gen 1s variety isn't too bad. I think it's just how they were distributed. There's a lot of gen1 mon I forget exist because of the hoards of Pidgeys and tentacools.
