How did all get introduced to the Pokemon series? I was introduced from a friend of mine long ago. Although we aren't friends anymore he is responsible for me discovering my favorite series ever.

I honestly cannot remember. I recall having Crystal as a kid but I either lost it or broke. All I remember is some cutscene with Suicune and having a Bayleef and another memory with Totodile. So I clearly reset the game somewhere but I unironically think Chikorita was my very first Pokemon ever. I can't remember how I was introduced though. My memory has always been bad. Your friend sounds like a total bro, a shame you aren't friends anymore though.

Also whats your fondest memories of Pokemon? Mine is playing the sinnoh under ground mini-games with my Brother and 5 neighborhood kids. It was the funnest shit ever.

Commercial for the anime just before going grocery shopping with my grandmother. I remember the specific moment it grabbed me. It was when Ash's Pokéball captured Bulbasaur. I didn't catch the entire commercial but that moment really stood out to me. "Did he just catch that thing!? I must watch this"

The anime aired a good while before the games even came out in the Netherlands so when they eventually did I was beyond hype.

Oh my gosh I loved the Underground mini-games! Literally still hear the soundtrack in my head perfectly. But if I had to have a fondest memory it had to be going to Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions and hearing thousands of people singing the Pokémon theme song all at once. So much passion in one room it was amazing.

It was junior year if HS. Heart Gold and Soul Silver were the hot new games. In my circle of nerd birds I was the only one who hadn't yet played or really gotten into Pokemon. My friends practically bullied me into getting Heart Gold and I haven't stopped liking the series since.

My fondest memory has to be discovering Route 113 in Ruby. It was lateish and my GBA didn't have a headphone jack, so I listened to the route theme as quietly as I could. Didn't want to wake my mom or younger brother. I was so thrilled by the music that I listened to it a good while before falling asleep myself.

Things were much simpler then, I wish my mom were still alive. I miss her every second of every day and this depression is crippling.

I'm hoping for any info on the switch title soon. Video games are keeping me going. I don't care when it's released or if it has a somewhat odd title. I just want to play, to remember simpler times, and to have friendly battles with my friends.
