Teddies/plushies are the go to companions of children and adults with limited faculties
they can't die, won't leave and are a physical source of comfort so it makes sense that someone with an adult physique but a juvenile state would do this. Its sort of the natural progression for them to seek the next level of physical comfort from their constant physical and emotional companions. It's sad really but that doesn't excuse the literal degenerates.
