I played up RBY to Johto, and SM. Regarding the refinement of the content, SM (or USUM) is better. The balance of skills, the graphics, but somehow I love Crystals. We have OP pokemon, we have OP skills. Do you really care? Do you "competitive"? No. You play for fun, and Crystal is much more fun than SM. Day and night, the semi-open world, the atmosphere ... just the dull graphic. But I have the willing to explore such world. SM? Nah, Stopped after the guardian/maybe Ultra Necro part.
