mostly bad i guess because i expect their six islands to be soulless themeparks with little to no real exploration. lack of rng is probably bad. its like someone is taking all the parts of pokemon i like least and making a game out of it, and then adding a bunch of unneccesary f2p mmo stuff (devil costume, housing, soulless characters oh wait thats in pokemon), also its a literally who mmo thats starting on kickstarter so thats not very inspiring, but whatever i'm still curious to see gameplay footage.

Didn't GameFreak recently copyright that sparkly holofoil effect that shimmers when you use the 3DS' gyroscope on legendaries? They could bag this game for a number of things if they claim the copyright of something as trivial as that. The thing I think would bite this game in the ass is the Luna Temtems. Pokemon is the only game I know of to have a patented concept of elusive rare color variations with sparkly effects.

I think a Dev said on the discord that their project is Nintendo friendly. So Nintendo will surely let them make a Poké-like game if there isn't asset flip or name infrigement.

BUT I don't know how TPCi will react because they are a different entity and its sole purpose is to defend the Pokémon IP.

I hope like PokéMMO they will either go under the radar or maybe be hired as a branch team ?

Because does the bullet's physics of games like CSGO, CoD or Battlefield are dangerously the same ? Some times it is but they don't sue each others for that.
See Wormwhole War, It is globaly Unreal/Quake meet Portal. Do they suffer Cease & Desist ? I haven't heard of.

IF they truly ripped of some assets and code then they will be sued but if they just looked how it is made and re-coded it themselves with their how language it can't be attacked in justice.

I found the patent for the Pokérus tho
It says that they patented the system of a "Monster virus" with the virus being either non present, infecting (contagious), present (sick but not contagious) and that, stored in the character's data.
For me it seems a bit too vague to not be avoidable

they need 2 years of development

They were crap made by old Game dev who just wanted to rekindle their fame by doing the same shit from 15-20 years ago with the same gameplay and the same flaws.

This is a new game with mechanics of the 21st century with next gen but childish graphics.
If they are talented they only need time to develop it and "some" money to run the servers for the online.
