>>35704007I'd disagree since 4Kids didn't have those financial troubles until after they lost Pokemon, and the dub had 2.8 Nielsen ratings, way more than the pathetic 0.08 it has today (or any succeeding TPCi season). The only reason TPCi even took the dub away was to cut costs, and it couldn't be more blatantly obvious these days.
Their eventual bankruptcy was a result of losing the one dub 4Kids had that was well received at the time along with TMNT 2003 endings, same goes for their Yu-Gi-Oh dub.
And as we can see, TPCi has done everything people bashed 4Kids for doing at this point (e.g. edits, script changes), but kept less of the Japanese music than 4Kids did in both the Anime/Movies, cut the intro length in half to a paltry 28 seconds, and the voice acting under them was worlds worse than what 4Kids dished out.
TPCi made a bad decision here, and the dub's ended up suffering for it in the end. If you read how Veronica Taylor etc. felt when they were shoved out for Sarah Natochenny & co, that only adds to the pain of seeing how TPCi treat the dub like crap these days.
