>>35715399It lacks the charm of the old games. The 3D remained soulless from GtI coupled with an equally childproof storyline and dumbed-down, shortened gameplay (dungeons were fewer and shorter on average, while the game spoonfed you incredibly high level allies to take on expeditions from the get-go). Some particularly annoying nuances include the time to travel between overworld towns being a chore (load, loading graphic, load), the camera angle biasing your field of vision north, allowing enemies to attack from the south invisibly from relatively close, and the party size being cut to 3 (probably both because of the allies, and the screenspace due to the camera). To add to that last point, occasionally you will have 5 or more party members, but the AI was not designed for more than 3-4, so allies above the standard limit frequently disconnect from your squad and die in some connector before you can catch up to them.
And to top it all off after a fairly underwhelming finale, there is no real post-story, just a flood of fluff dungeons for each legendary. Along with other changes, it's a casualized PMD experience through and through, which it suffered for.
