This is an amazing outcome you guys. Now the games are splitting between the casual spinoffs like Lets Go and the core RPG. Now Gamefreak won't have to sacrifice complex features to appeal to normies as much because Lets GO is more kid-friendly.

That's actually awesome news. I don't expect the core RPG next year to be super hardcore, but i expect at least a Hard Mode, more exploration, and so on.

The only truly terrible thing about it thus far is that it's using the same old Kanto map, when they needed something a lot bigger for all of the riding pokemon. Should have just made every open tile into 4 so it was bigger.

You're only partially correct. The games are splitting between two audiences, but not the ones you think. You've never been an audience in Game Freak's eyes. It's always been normie nostalgiafags and literal kids.

Let's Go are the games that are made to appeal to adults. Adults who played the gen 1 games as kids, look fondly on the franchise, but haven't actually played any of the newer games. These adults who will buy it on the switch because of nostalgia. Those are the people these games are cathering to.

Now the kids don't give a shit about gen 1, but Game Freak needs to keep cathering to them as well. 100% guaranteed that your "core RPG" is going to be the kid-friendly one.

And its just gonna be more kid-friendly bullshit cause GF After BW2 had a nervous fucking break down. Like I'm glad more Dev time is going to Gen 8 after how poorly Gen 7 was handled at times but I just hope they tried atleast made these games a good building block of what's possible instead of adding back things people have been wanting for years and cool new things that are probably not going past this game.

That is imposible, Pokémon is the most profitable franchise ever, it's bigger than fucking Star Wars, I mean I'm not defending GF Let's Go looks very underwhelming but Pokémon has always been a fucking franchise targeting children and their parents' wallets, maybe it's time to just let it go (no pun) and move to something else.
