USUM protags are the same characters though? No one considered Platinum or Emerald protagonists as completely different characters, just appropriate outfit redesigns, and adapters of the medium like Kusaka won't either. He'll just have them change clothes.

Ngl, I don't care for this shota. The reason why shotafags love Keita/Nathan is because he has a lot of personality and has several subtle fanservice moments. Pokemon games make their protags have almost 0 personality already for easy self-insertion/roleplay value and these games are going to be even worse since they're focusing solely on collecting pokemon. This kid is just Red 2.0 but with pink sunburned skin.
